The Kalendar Symbol
The flavors are balanced and fine. In a sumptuous dining hall, there is a banquet fit for a queen.
In ancient China, the bronze tripod was both a ceremonial symbol of authority and a vessel for cooking. According to tradition, the Nine Cooking Pots were given to the great rulers in olden days to vest them with divine authority. Tripod vessels were therefore given to others in authority as symbols of the passing down of authority. Properly used, these stoves could nourish a family and even prepare a meal for a large dinner party. If the flavors were well-balanced and the food prepared according in healthful conditions and procedures, the guests would enjoy a fine meal for common affairs or special rituals. But if the meals were cooked in dirty pots, unvirtuous human behavior cannot be overcome.
