The Kalendar Symbol

A dispute concerning the ideal calendar to use for planning an important event.

Commentary

All events within a worldview are constructed and controlled by the calendar, and its impacts are felt by everyone who interacts with the calendar’s users. The calendar arranges human events within a framework that is both naturalistic and artificial. It usually offers a system for coordinating religious and secular celebrations alike. Some calendars are ruled by the sun and others by the moon, but all are harmoniously arranged in accordance with mathematical principles giving privilege to specific numeric patterns and relationships. In turn these arrangements capture subtle principles underlying all reality to a degree. But not all calendars are created equal, and they come and go in history according to evolving customs.
