The Kalendar Symbol
A religious initiate is torn between warring spirits within his psyche.
The Wai Kroo ceremony began with a Buddhist prayer ritual followed by the present students performing chants of gratitude to their teachers. Classical Thai music played by a band as monks performed almsgiving rituals at an altar with candles and joss sticks. Today a young monk is formalizing his relationship with his guru, but he is caught between his devotion to the religion and the desires of a demon who has taken possession of his spirit. If he cannot overcome the influences of darkness, he will suffer terribly. He may even lose himself in the exchange with the underworld.
