The Kalendar Symbol
A young king uses his and his people’s formidable virtue and moral strength to deter war.
A society of ethical individuals maintains strict standards of propriety and upright behavior. Whereas the realm once relied upon an order of chivalrous knights to maintain order, now virtue is located at the center nexus of things. Consequently, dissenters and rabble-rousers are shunted away from access to the power structures – perhaps even literally shunned. Power is increasingly contained in structures of “who is showing up”, and undesirable forces must be constrained from exhibiting a deleterious influence. The social soul emerges ethereally.
