I am a Worldview Artist and pioneer in the emerging field of Integral philosophy / Volutionary spirituality. I am developing a series of nine books called The Kalendar which offer a genre-disrupting mix of epic poetry, prose, art, and philosophy. The first three books will be published over the course of the next three years by Tangent Publishers, an imprint of Integral Publishers. The first book is The Black Stone (The Kalendar Series: Book One) on the way in April 2016.
At the age of 33-34 years old, I wrote the groundbreaking memoir Soulfully Gay (Integral Books/Shambhala, 2007). In the Foreword, Ken Wilber described my spiritual autobiography as “perhaps the most astonishing, brilliant, and courageous look at the interface between individual belief and cultural values that has been written in our times.” Soulfully Gay is one of the first memoirs in the new tradition of Integral / World / Evolutionary spirituality. The book introduces an original conception for describing the role of sexual orientation in human nature which has been taught in divinity schools. I have also written Rising Up (Lulu, 2006), an experimental work of blog-based cultural criticism.
An Honors graduate of Harvard University in The Comparative Study of Religion with Philosophy as Allied Field, I have longstanding interests in social ethics and liberation theology. I have studied religion and the human sciences at The Divinity School at The University of Chicago. In 2010, I earned a Certificate in Integral Leadership from Pacific Integral/LIOS Graduate College of Saybrook University in completion of the program in Generating Transformative Change. For my final project, I developed a prototype of Lingua-U, the Meta-Language of Subtle Energy which plays a key role in the linguistic philosophy underlying the The Kalendar Series.
I describe the intellectual edifice bequeathed by The Kalendar Series as Integral Magick, an esoteric path of self-discovery and collective renewal which reinvigorates indigenous, esoteric, meta-modernist, and new age wisdom. This New Magick combines more than nine distinct existential technologies ranging from the New Tarot to the New Atlas to the Wheel of Wholes which are fully integrated with Integral Theory. Between 2010 and 2015, I used an experimental form of spiritual mediumship to inspire poetry and key elements of the new system including communication with the Archangel Gabriel.

I came out of the closet at age 20 as a bisexual primarily attracted to men, but later opted to identify myself as gay for a variety of reasons. Later in my mid-40s I returned to calling myself bisexual. I am single and live in Seattle. An ailurophile and arctophile, I bring an independent and formidable spirit to exploring and inhabiting the mysteries of the Kosmos.
