Big Kettle Worldviews, Guardian Angels, & Violet Magic

I’ve drawn some inspiration for Integral Magic™ from some sources you may regard as unlikely. But before I go there, let me tell you what I have rejected.

I have rejected the conception of magic popular in contemporary books in the fantasy genre. Not just because the idea that speaking magic spells is saying words in Latin is a little overdone. You don’t have to be widely read in the fantasy genre to understand that even in so-called fantasy literature, fantasy is … well, too fantastical to be real. But what I’m working on is literature both fictional and real. There are fantastical elements and some explicitly fictional stories, but I am not interested in what can be called lies. I am interested in the Light that is shed by looking in places that are very often overlooked.

Real magic is what I think is missing in the world right now on a scale and scope to have an impact on the way ordinary people live their lives. It’s missing because people have forgotten the way language and symbolism really works. We have forgotten on a massive scale to the point where our contemporary worldviews are mired in delusion. I aspire to change that, and I am doing what I can. I am aspiring not just to write fantasy books or create a new magical system … I am aspiring to usher into being a Big Kettle Worldview capable of saving the planet and making lives better and helping the co-existence of the physical and spiritual planes of being.

I needed to walk between the worlds more than just a little bit to be able to envision magic in this way. All good magicians have had to develop relationships that have helped them to navigate in the realms others fear to tread. I don’t talk about this aspect of my work much. It’s not really the best time for this conversation and some things are best kept private. First I need to build the Big Kettle Worldview. Then I need to make it impactful in the world. Then, if the need arises, we can discuss the spiritual relationships which have nourished me.

There are a few things that I ought to say at the beginning. I have written publicly that I was inspired by the Archangel Gabriel in fabricating the elemental building blocks of Lingua-U. We have communicated in a variety of ways including oracular divination using the New Book of Changes and the New Canon of Supreme Mystery (my work in progress). We have spoken using my own approach to mediumship. And we have spoken through an intermediary spirit (a “guardian angel”) whose identity I have decided to only partially reveal outside a close circle, hints given in The Kalendar Series for those who are interested in such things.

Without spiritual communication, I could not have developed the Integral Magic to the point where it stands today. Talking to angels can be disorienting. One can lose one’s self in the process. I have also taken “breaks” from spiritual communication when it was necessary for me to re-calibrate my personal mental and emotional well-being.

Perhaps my spiritual guide is not your Archangel Gabriel or perhaps I am just talking to my unconscious self or perhaps no such being exists? Go ahead and hold your reservations, questions, and doubts. I didn’t bring up the subject to enter into a full conversation about it. That isn’t important right now. I respect your beliefs and I have developed confidence in my own. I’m telling you this because I think it’s important that a Big Kettle Worldview make room for people who talk to spirits … and even include the perspective of the non-human entities and angels who want to speak to us.

Make no mistake. The world badly, even desperately, needs a Big Kettle Worldview … even if it doesn’t know it yet. Worldviews aren’t what people think they are (unless those people have a Violet lens on Reality), bundles of abstract concepts and cultural artifacts tied tightly together like twigs. Worldviews go deep to the core tree-trunk and deepest root of Who We Truly Are, down to the molecules and the quarks, expressed in elemental numbers and letters and symbols that move before we even notice, changing our thoughts for us, transformation happening in secret.

To really change a worldview — or effect any deep, lasting socio-cultural change over a period of hundreds or thousands of years — one needs to get primordial, as primordial as possible in one’s given time and place in history. In our day, Lingua-U and the other technologies of Integral Magic are rearranging the building blocks of thought, feeling, spirit, and soul. These existential structures are creating new ways of being human available to anyone who learns how to use them. This is why Integral Magic is so important, much moreso than fantasy magic: it’s as real as Real gets when you are living at the sanguine edge of consciousness.

Integral Magic includes practices which give us access to unseen realms of existence which are inhabited by sub-personal, personal or trans-personal energetic forces. Learning to navigate these subtle energies is essential to discovering one’s own identity as one develops at the Violet station of consciousness. Learning to work with subtleties — including linguistic energies — on a daily basis is essential to human development and flourishing at this stage of our planet’s existence. If you are not willing to explore what this means, then you are not ready to receive this teaching.

Introducing the Bear-Yak Zodiac

The Mythos of the Third Wave

Imagine that you are a Zodiac beginning with Aries and ending with Pisces. You are defined by the Second Wave. You have a streak of duality at your core. At the Zero of the Common Era, you are given by the gods only 2,000 years for your Earthly reign, and then you must fade or allow yourself to be twisted into dark and evil ways to subvert humanity’s free will.

Now imagine that you are a Zodiac beginning with Bear and ending with Yak. You are defined by the Third Wave. You have triplicity or ternary numbers at your core. At the Zero of the Common Era, you are given by the gods only 3,000 years for your Earthly reign, but you must fight with the Zodiac of the Second Wave for domination.

The ensuing War of the Zodiacs is told in The Kalendar Series, and we will say little about it here. But we must explain why the Bear-Yak Zodiac is so little known in our day. Long after the War of the Zodiacs appeared to be over, a terrible disruption of the fabric of space and time destroyed the harmony which had been won at the Council of Nagoya. Thus the evil Ro succeeded in twisting the Aries-Pisces Zodiac into a dark menace.

Thrust into the Ro’s slavery, the Aries-Pisces erased the historic Peace Accord among the Zodiacs and sent the Animwaa of the Third Wave into a horrible jeopardy. They took the spotlight all to themselves and, upon the end of the Second Millennium, insisted upon remaining in the heavens past their expiration date. Now the fate of the Zodiacs rests in the hands of the human beings and Hanimwaa in the early 21st century, the period of History known as the Great Overturning. They must choose between Zodiacs.

You can choose the old ways of duality and conflict. Or you can evolve to a Zodiac which is grounded in a ternary numerology. Based in a Trinity, the Bear-Yak Zodiac is capable of exploiting the new harmony of Lingua-U and the rest of the Integral Magic™ system.

The Bear-Yak Zodiac is a Sky-Calendar which divides the night sky into 27 Houses which are described by the Consonants of Lingua-U. These also correspond to distinct constellations in the night sky which have been noticed in the archives of the Nagoya Accord in the 10th Century C.E., and which have been modified numerous times in the past ten centuries according to advances in astronomical observation and the political alliances of the Animwaa.

Each House of the New Zodiac is given one Sign, which is the constellation of the Consonant itself. The Consonant is symbolized by two different Animwaa (which may be considered Signs of a sort). These are the animals pictured in The Kalendar Series: Book One, The Black Stone, but with additions. Some of the Animwaa serve defined terms in the Kalendar, and then they yield to a successor. In this manner, the Animwaa which represent each Sign rotate over time in the heavens.

In the War of the Zodiacs, the 54 Animwaa arranged themselves into six distinct armies, one for each of six distinct regions of the night sky, each guarded by nine Animwaa. For this reason, the six-sided star represents the New Zodiac, immortalizing the six armies, one point for each army as follows:

Point 1. The Early Yang Point. The topmost point represents nine Animwaa:  Bear, Bat, Pig, Platypus, Viper, Vulture, Fish, Fox, and Panther.

Point 2. The Later Yang Point. The second point (upper-right) represents nine Animwaa:  Moth, Insect, Iguana, Deer, Dolphin, Tiger, Toad, Zebu, and Zebra.

Point 3. The Early Yin Point. The third point (lower-right) represents nine Animwaa: Spider, Swan, Sheep, Shark, Echidna, Elephant, Gecko, Gopher, and Kangaroo.

Point 4. The Later Yin Point.  The fourth point (bottommost) represents nine Animwaa:  Eagle, Quail, Squirrel, Opossum, Emu, Chicken, Chimpanzee, Giant Panda, and Jaguar.

Point 5. The Early You Point. The fifth point (lower-left) represents nine Animwaa: Mayfly, Mouse, Axolotl, Newt, Ant, Alligator, Wolf, Walrus, and Hyena.

Point 6. The Later You Point. The sixth point (upper-left) represents nine Animwaa: Horse, Whale, Wren, Rhinoceros, Rabbit, Octopus, Llama, Otter, and Yak.

These are the stars of the New Zodiac! Because we are simultaneously describing the letters of Lingua-U (for instance Bear and Bar represent B), much of what we say in this teaching will also shed light on the 27 Houses and 27 Signs (constellations) of the Bear-Yak. But we must pay special attention to the 54 Animwaa of the New Zodiac because these animals show us how Reality is aligned when the Sky-Calendar is divided into six, and then further divided into nine.

The Bear-Yak Zodiac is one of the truest expressions of the Third Wave, and each animal has something to teach us uniquely which helps us to understand the Triune Infinite. Stay tuned for future installments of this blog series to see the world in an entirely different way gifted to us by the War of the Zodiacs.

Lingua-U Alphabet: 0: B

LESSONSB, The Third Letter of Lingua-U, Is Linked To “Begin”, “Base”, “Big”, “Bang”, “Being”, and “Bear”.

What can we learn about the letter B in Lingua-U by studying the sound-meanings of common English words? Quite a bit, actually. More than enough to get us to several key generalizations that will help us to use B skillfully in Integral Magic.

Recall from our recent lessons regarding the number Zero that in Lingua-U every letter can be reduced to or substituted for a number. This process is called Gematria, after the similar Kabbalistic process which applies to the Hebrew language. Lingua-U’s Gematria applies to the letters of Lingua-U, which are based on the International Phonetic Alphabet, but the process is the same.

B is 000 (which = 0), just as Eɪ is 00 (which = 0), and Aɪ is 0. We know that Zero comes before other numbers, and before starts with B. We know that Zero is at the base or bottom of other numbers, and both base and bottom start with B. We know that counting begins with Zero, and begin starts with B. In the Kosmos, we associate beginnings with the Big Bang, and both Big and Bang begin with B.

Think about it. Lingua-U is on to something. These associations are not random chance, but part of the design of the meta-language which is intended to show that language, when arranged in the form of Lingua-U, imitates or mirrors Nature. If for some reason there is another arrangement of language which is a more perfect mirror of Nature, then Lingua-U is challenged. It would need to evolve or die, iterating to a Version 2.0 or whatever, or ceasing to best fulfill its aspiration.

Miscellaneous Notes Regarding Lingua-U: Waves, Zero, Numerology, Sound-Meanings

LESSONSWe qualify all our remarks about Lingua-U by noting that they apply to the Third Wave. In the Integral Magic™ system worldviews are assigned to a Wave according to the numerological insights which govern their most fundamental assumptions. In our day, most worldviews resonate at the Second Wave or some combination of the Second and Third Waves.

Only Integral Magic makes Wave a defining characteristic of a worldview, however, and so it is the first fully Third Wave worldview. It is the first worldview to operate with an explicit numerological bias which is ternary in nature. In contrast, the dominant Second Wave worldviews operate with an implicit dualism which is rarely brought into awareness, let alone challenged.

Waves are a way of talking about number bases and how worldviews are grounded implicitly or explicitly in them. In the Third Wave, worldviews may be analyzed for their numerological bias by asking:  Do they make unary thought primary? Do they make dualism primary? Do they make ternary thought primary?

In ternary thought, there are three digits: 0, 1, and 2. Letters in a ternary language (such as Lingua-U) may be reduced to these digits through Gematria, which allows us to see Number and Letter as fundamentally similar constructs which are part of a Triune whole.

Lingua-U allows 0 to be represented by one Primary Vowel (Aɪ as 0), one Secondary Vowel (Eɪ as 00), and one consonant (B as 000). The characteristics of these three letters are then “absorbed by” or “ascribed to” Zero. We have previously seen that Zero is linked to rightness, lightness, silence, time, and why. Then we saw that it is linked to creativity, nature, places, making, taking, and the changing of states. In our next lesson, we will see that Zero is also linked to bigness, bangs, bodies, bottoms, and backward directions.

But what do we mean when we speak of sound-meanings? There is a technical definition which is very comprehensive. For the letter B, it goes like this: the definition for the sound meaning of B is {THE SUM OF ALL /b/ SOUND-MEANINGS FOR EVERY /b/ USE IN EVERY LANGUAGE, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE}.

Such a comprehensive definition is unobtainable in practice, though fortunately a good working definition is obtainable for Lingua-U Prototype 1.0, which is this: {THE SUM OF ALL /b/ SOUND-MEANINGS FOR EVERY /b/ USE IN THE 500 MOST FREQUENTLY USED WORDS IN ENGLISH}. Note: Owing to the paucity of English words for some Lingua-U letters, non-English words or less common English words may be needed to generate a rough working definition for some sound-meanings.

So when we are talking about the number Zero, there is no sound-meaning to speak of. However, by Gematria we know that 0 = Aɪ OR Eɪ OR B. Thus, the Zero, the ultimate symbol of nothingness, is far from an empty signifier to Lingua-U. Indeed, it is bountiful in its symbolic linkages to Space, Bases, Bottoms, Backs, Aims, Aces, Creativity, Creation, Making, Light, Right, Bright, and “I”.

If you want to know how the worldview of Lingua-U is different from the mainstream sensibility, then start by looking at how they talk about the number Zero. Do they represent nothingness with utterly nothing? Is there no word, no letter, for representing Zero? Or is it the Ace of Spaces, the centerpoint of Creativity, the Initiating Principle?

Although anyone fluent in multiple languages may be skeptical that one can rely on only one language for a working definition of /b/, in fact our phonosemantic analysis operates just fine in one language for the time being. This is because we are talking about sound-meanings, which have to do with the method of pronunciation of sounds, which is a proven cross-cultural universal. (Thus explosiveness is a sound-meaning of /b/, not just because it inaugurates BANG! and BOOM! and BASH!, but because it is literally formed through a labial explosion.) We are not talking about reference, which is a separate but linked process of meaning-making which is NOT a cross-cultural universal.

What we are doing in defining the letters of Lingua-U is, put simply, storytelling about the processes of speech pronunciation. Speech pronunciation, it just so happens, is actually amazingly important because it is where a “magical” process of trans-linguistic meaning is discovered, utilized, and made into an object of power and beauty.

As we will see tomorrow when we look at the letter B in its use in the 500 most common words in English, B’s sound-meaning is not arbitrary. It is extremely bold, brash, and big. How could it not be, considering that its sound is produced kinesthetically by producing the biggest explosion possible for the mouth?

While certainly there are Radical Postmodern Linguistic Relativists sitting in ivory towers who would insist that the letter B could just as easily be associated with whispers as with sounds that go BOOM!, in fact language just doesn’t work that way. It does not conform to the Relativist’s theory, and it certainly does not have to.

Lingua-U does not just describe the way that language works, although it does, it also sets the bar for future linguistic evolution. Lingua-U tells us the way that language’s sound-meanings *ought to* work and interrelate if they are working well and capturing a large set of Reality as it has been described by numerous languages.

Make no mistake! Languages which do not include all of the sound-meanings of the 39 letters of Lingua-U are simply inadequate for conveying meaning in the 21st Century and for the next 1,000 years to come. Our languages must be at least as rich as the Lingua-U, and if they are not, then they need to be complemented by Lingua-U or by learning additional languages. I can speak of such things because I know all 39 letters of Lingua-U and they each have an indispensable role for conveying Wisdom, Magic, and Meta-Meaning.

(Meaning can be translated, words substituted; meta-meaning requires a Big Picture such as that given by Lingua-U … and Lingua-U is not conceivable with anything less than 39 letters. Every letter is important, indispensable, and rich in Wisdom, Magic, and Meta-Meaning.)

If a sound has been cataloged by the International Phonetic Association, it is somewhere on the IPA Vowel Chart or IPA Consonant Chart. The letters of Lingua-U include most of the sound-meanings common in English, the Romance languages, Chinese, and other widely spoken languages.

When a sound falls through the cracks (because there are only 39 letters in Lingua-U), the sound is not ignored. Instead, the sound is said to be included in the range of sound-meanings given to the letter which is its best fit. There are many ways of pronouncing rhotic sounds, so Lingua-U’s R must serve to include a range of less common sounds.

Thus there is not only one correct way to pronounce R in Lingua-U, but many acceptable ways. In Prototype 1.0, there is a standard way – in the case of R, it is pronounced as in American English. Once this standard is learned, there is room for additional pronunciations to be learned and explored in future versions of the meta-language.

But first things first. We begin with learning each of the 39 letters. Tomorrow we will finish our look at Zero by examining the first consonant, B.

Introducing the Principles and Alphabet of Lingua-U

LESSONSStart the Study of New Magick with Lingua-U, the Seventh Techno-Magical Interface in the Integral Magic™ System

Today we begin to look at language through the eyes of babes. We are starting a journey which, when complete, will have introduced us to the 39 letters of Lingua-U, the Meta-Language of Subtle Energy, one per day. It’s a fast tour, but full of reward if you are willing to change your relationship to language.

But first there are a few facts about Lingua-U that will help you to ready yourself. Lingua-U is not a language you can learn like Spanish or Esperanto. Someday there might be an actual language descending from Lingua-U, but it is not here yet. It is only a meta-language, which is really the most important thing that matters in the next decade.

This meta-language is comprised of two character sets: the Lingua-U Principles and the Lingua-U Alphabet. These are two separate ways of describing the same thing, and they may be transliterated easily (meaning you can swap one for the other without losing anything). Each Principle of Lingua-U corresponds to one vowel when it stands alone or when combined in pairs; in triads, they correspond to consonants. The Principles are symbols for subtle energy, but we will get to that on another day.

Remember we’re not talking about a language. There is no grammar for combining the letters into sentences at this time, but there is a Numerology and Gematria for substituting letters for numbers and for each other. The importance of the Lingua-U comes not from how you can use it to form sentences, but how you can use it to analyze other languages and discover previously undetected sound-meanings and associations. You can do this because Lingua-U stands as part of the New Magick, so it is integrated with other techno-magical interfaces all of which assist it in fulfilling its purpose.

That said, let’s turn to the alphabet. The Principles contain only three characters: Yang (│), Yin (╎), and You (┆). No other human-speakable, human-readable language is so simple (unless you count assembly language, by virtue of those remarkable few human beings who can read binary-based computer code). Yang is also depicted as 0, Yin as 1, and You as 2.

The New Magick Does Not Stand Alone. It Is Integrally Integrated.

integralMagic-logo-smallThe New Magick Offers A Constructed Kosmology In Which Space, Time, and Thought Are Depicted Harmoniously

As we have seen on The Integral Cauldron, the Integral Magic™ philosophy posits a cosmology of a sort never-before-seen: one which doesn’t just describe the world as a given (“That’s just the way it is!”), as pre-modern and modern worldviews tend to do, but as a “magical” world of Art-Science which is aligned (constructed) with Unique Will. Postmodernism isn’t really interested in constructing a magical world; for the most part it is content with destroying or trivializing the magical connections others make.

In the New Magick, the act of creating the new cosmology is part of the whole picture, and part of the magic itself, an act of consciousness developed at a refined level of ego-maturity which is capable of appreciating “world creation”. Integral Magic offers a worldview in which everything is connected to every other thing, all things are whole/parts (or “holons” as they were called by Arthur Koestler) and analogies may be freely made between one whole/part and another whole/part, and guidance and wisdom received freely. Spirituality pertains to invisible realms again, not just psychological phenomena. Acausal connections are normalized and synchronicity ceases to be aberrant.

What does Integral Magic look like? I have a very specific proposal to advance for your consideration in The Integral Cauldron blog and The Kalendar Series of books. There is a long story regarding how I got here, and why I have made the creative choices that I have made, but they aren’t really important right now. What is important is that I have developed a magical system which I believe to be meta-modern or post-post-modern if you will have it. I have done this with a key opening move: tracing the essence of all magic down to its roots in two sources: language on the one hand and number on the other.

With language, there is the question of which one to base it on? But I submit that any effort to base Integral Magic on a specific language is doomed to failure; thus I have chosen instead to base it mostly on the sound symbolism of the International Phonetic Alphabet, the cross-linguistic universal generalizations which have defined the essential capabilities for virtually all recorded languages. To connect the symbols of IPA with number, I have found that the ternary numbering system is ideally suited for representing a very large number of vowels and consonants (the number base in which the numbers of 0, 1, and 2 represent all possible values). Indeed, when the numbers are represented in simple line glyphs, the first 12 symbols correlate to all the most popular vowel sounds, and the next 27 symbols can be taken to represent all the most widely used consonant sounds.

Behold, New Heavens and New Earth!

Imagine That Integral Magic Inaugurates a New Heavens and New Earth

According to the Book of Revelation, a sign of the end of days comes when a New Heaven and a New Earth have been glimpsed. I can’t tell you exactly what John intended to say, and I don’t mean to detract from any orthodox interpretations. However, I can say honestly that if you study the Integral Magic™ system you will arrive at a point where the old world will pass away and you will find yourself inhabiting a wonderous new abode.

  • In 5 years … As new vocabulary emerges from the Lingua-U speaker community, your senses will expand: sight, hearing, smell. You will gain new senses you didn’t know you had, mimicking the natural sensory capabilities of diverse trees, plants, and animals.
  • In 10 years … As your sense of direction becomes more powerful as a renowned hunter in an ancient Aboriginal tribe and as globally attuned as some GPS software, you will feel your humanity as a citizen of the globe. Your every footfall will fall as a pounding of Yang on Yin to the emergence of a new You. All this is a fruit of embodying the New Atlas.
  • In 15 years … You will organize your routines to maximize the harmony of your brain rhythms and personal energy with the New Klock and prioritize your day with spontaneity informed by a gorgeous inflow of energies from myriad creatures of the New Zodiac and archetypes of the New Tarot. Every moment is an enactment of a Kosmic dance-drama filled with enchantment, excitement, and grace.
  • In 20 years … You will teach others the Integral Magic system for Divinizing the world, bringing about a taste of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, revealing the Old Mysteries and inaugurating the New Mysteries. You will be a Magician, Crone, or Sorcerer, or a Teacher of Wizards.

Does this sound like the old Integral Theory of 1995, 2006, or 2010? It isn’t. It’s a next generation of Integral Theory in which the theory is complemented with a set of techno-magical interfaces built on a bedrock of the New Magick. It’s a glimpse at what could be …. if people like you embrace your fullest humanity and divinity and step into a river as ancient and beautiful as Time itself, glimpsed poetically and dramatically and scientifically as possible. Introducing a New Violet Technology for Advanced Integral Development

Integral Magic is Violet Magic, a Meta-System of a Construct-Aware Worldview

You’ve heard of Black Magic and White Magic, archaic terminology referring to the use of magic for evil or selfish purposes or good and benevolent purposes. In the Integral Magic™ system, these uses of the terms are deprecated. Instead, there are nine different colors which are used to designate magical techniques or abilities dependent on each of Nine Squares (which are similar to Stations of Consciousness).

(There is a New Black Magic – but it has to do with connecting to the so-called “root chakra” or regressive technologies which are not necessarily evil or good. And there is a New White Magic – but it has to do with using ego strengthening technologies to create states of equilibrium, processes which are not necessarily good or evil. We will talk about these colors of Magick another day.)

The New Magick is basically Violet Magic, a meta-system of a Construct-Aware / Ego-Aware worldview. What is that? According to the consciousness researcher Susanne Cook-Greuter, who has gathered reams of empirical psychological data and looked into this sort of thing longer and with more depth than most people, it is a stage of ego-maturity which has become fully Ego-aware, and is found in only a very small percentage of folks. (In Ken Wilber’s Integral Spirituality, these stages correspond to the Indigo and Violet altitudes.) She writes:

The Construct-aware and the Ego-aware Stage [5/6] is the final observed differentiation in the sequence of overall differentiation or separation from a previous worldview on the path to an ever greater integration or union. Unfortunately, the “professional” labels that have been used or suggested for this stage — Magician, Alchemist, Crone, Jester etc. — are all inadequate to express the varieties and depth of understanding, this level is able to gain. The professional labels tend to reflect behavioral aspects of this stage that are not shared by all of its representatives.

Magick as Both a Science and Art

Magick is the Science and Art of Aligning Change to Conformity with Unique Will

Thelema defines Magick as “the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will”, by which Integral Magic concurs with two relatively minor but not insignificant modifications: “Magick (or the New Magick) is the science and art of aligning change to conformity with Unique Will.”

Unchanged is the notion that Magick is both a science and an art, a perspective which is reflected by the understanding in Integral Magic™ that it is (a) a systematic enterprise that creates, builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe, and involves (b) creating visual, auditory or performing artifacts – artworks, expressing the author’s imaginative or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power. (These are common definitions which have been taken from Wikipedia’s pages for “Science” and “Art”.)

Let us begin to define Magick by opening a discussion of status of Magick as a Science or Art, a topic we will by no means exhaust. Today let us pause to marvel at the idea that Integral Magic brings together Art and Science in a new way, showing the beauty of science and the methodological rigor of art in a way which is nowhere else to be found. Magick is an Art-Science or Science-Art.

Let us take for an example of such “operational wonderment” the first Sign of the New Zodiac, which is the first techno-magical interface of the Integral Magic system. It is one of nine foundational artworks, designed to be architectures upon which many feats of Magick can be performed just as many creative works can be written on a blank scroll or empty journal. Consider these two points: (1) Signs are given the name of an animal, and (2) the name of the first Sign specifically is the Bear. The symbol of the Bear does not stand alone, but serves part of a systematic enterprise that creates knowledge in the form of the New Zodiac in a specific fashion, being the first of 54 distinct operators which create testable explanations and predictions about the universe.
